Bellerophon

This is the central administration tool for BinBase. You can use this tool for user administration, management of bins and browsing of the database. Another feature is that you can use it to queries over meta data, if you have a [meta data provider] registered.

Please be advised that the tool is a security risk to your data since every user can select all the data, export the data and view the data. We provide some security by restricting several features like naming/deleting content to super users. But we can't limit the content at this point of time. So please configure your database in a way that it can only connect to certain IP addresses! If user need access to features like looking at bins or comparing bins, we recommend that they use the binbase-compound tool instead. This tool allows everybody to look and browse bin data, but wont give access to any sensible data.

Installation

since Bellerophon is an eclipse based rcp application you only need to download it and unzip it. Once this is done you run the executable and it will ask you for some parameter to connect to the application server and database.

Supported Platforms

Like all java software it should run everywhere but can cause problems on certain platforms.
