Second Pass annotation

The second pass annotation is executed after the first pass annotation and only checks for the following properties:

  • retention index
  • signal noise
  • similarity

And is used to annotate large peaks (high signal noise) and with a high similarity which were skipped at the first pass annotation because they were not pure enough and did not generate bins. This is also done if they have a weird unique mass.

These annotations are not used to generate any Bin's or counted as successful annotations toward the Bin generation.

This annotations are marked in a slight orange color at the result table.

You can define the used setting for the detection in the BinBase configuration file.
